Joshua Tree Weekend

I really don't have to say much about this short, 2-day weekend trip other than the climbing in JTree is good and the landscape is just breathtaking. Some of the climbs are true classics that went down in bouldering history!

Oh, and it was hot, really hot!

[Approaching the Mojave Desert: Mount San Jacinto near Palm Springs]

[This place was made for climbing! Even the authorities look at it this way!]

[All alone in the desert heat: Thin Lizzy, V8 or 7b+]

[Finding shelter in a shady cave south of Intersection Rock.]

[Finishing up The Yogi, 7c/+]

[Picasso said: There are flowers everywhere for those who bother to look.]

[One of the incredible sunsets at Joshua Tree.]

[Fueling up for the next day.]

[Moonrise and incredible skies on a clear and quiet night in the national park.]

[Western movie flair on day 2.]

[Hiking through an unreal landscape in search for boulders.]

[Warmin' up on a random little problem.]

[Warming up flashing Igneous Ambiance, V7]

[...just to the right there is Mulligan Variation, V8]

[After doing Solar Edge, V6 and Bald Eagle, V8 I had to finish my skin an the Bachar classic All Washed Up, V6.]

[The amazing sunset makes you forget the pain in your fngertips.]

[Heading home after 2 woderful but really hot days in JTree. An unforgettable experience!]

Oh, and I got a couple of videos of the climbs. Maybe I'll find time to put those on the website too. Keep checking back!
